lyrics
The birds still sing
The skies are blue
The cool bay breeze
In spite of the loss of you
We're heading home
Past the park where we used to play
I feel so alone
This is your ascension day
They're countless
The gifts you gave to me
And even though the sorrows flow
We'll carry your melody
If there's a heaven
You'd be there at your parents' side
Telling your stories
They'd be beaming with such pride
My aching heart
Soul is sinking right down to the floor
My dear, depart
Your bells shall ring no more
Regardless
I cherish your memory
Onward we go, we love you so
We'll carry your melody

First full lenght album by the band, preceded by the two excellent EP's 'Fault Line' and 'Reflections'. In line with their now characteristic sound and influences, October Burns Black deliver a great collection of tracks whose spell is impossible to resist.
Classy and classic gothic rock at it's best. Dionysos Nyktelios
Blood Relative is Publicist's latest post-punk salvo from the Forgive Yourself LP, steered by Zachary Lipez's unnerving baritone. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 17, 2015
Cinematic-scale goth from Reflection Black with catchy melodies, dreamy synths, punchy rhythms, and a sense of timelessness. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 21, 2023
It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles
