lyrics
The lies we tell the world
The lies we tell ourselves
The daily masquerade
Twisted games that we play
You shut the door
Stumble to the floor
You’ll open your heart no more
Human condition is terminal
The years I lost away
My own self I betrayed
I’d lost all will to fight
With not a trace in sight
To my fate resigned
Just leave me behind
In a cell of my design
Human condition is terminal
And death shall call for thee
And yet this life could be beautiful
If you just let it be
When your own self you betray
Leave your demons out to play
The abuse hurts just as sure
The harm is still incurred
But I called for help
She saved me from myself
Brought my poor heart back to health
Human condition is terminal
And death shall call for thee
And yet this life could be beautiful
If you just let it be
Human condition is terminal
And death shall call for thee
But we can live before we die
What will you choose to be?

First full lenght album by the band, preceded by the two excellent EP's 'Fault Line' and 'Reflections'. In line with their now characteristic sound and influences, October Burns Black deliver a great collection of tracks whose spell is impossible to resist.
Classy and classic gothic rock at it's best. Dionysos Nyktelios
Blood Relative is Publicist's latest post-punk salvo from the Forgive Yourself LP, steered by Zachary Lipez's unnerving baritone. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 17, 2015
Cinematic-scale goth from Reflection Black with catchy melodies, dreamy synths, punchy rhythms, and a sense of timelessness. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 21, 2023

It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles
